This is the journal for my travels - I thought it'd be a nice of way of sharing what goes on when I'm away from home with my family and friends (and whoever else happens to come across this).

I'm a student at university (my major: Social Anthropology) and completely addicted to travelling - gotta put those long vacations to a good use, don't I? *g*

I try to go on a bigger vacation once a year - so far I've travelled Great Britain by interrail, Canada and the US by bus (four months after graduation, a dream come true), spent a month on the Isle of Man as an au-pair, explored Namibia with a jeep tour, and made a six week trip along the East Coast, again by Greyhound. In 2003 I spent six weeks in New Plymouth, New Zealand (a country I completely fell in love with) as part of my mandatory fieldwork for uni, and two weeks in Australia purely for vacationing. In 2004 I did a two week road trip through Scotland in summer with my friend Märrie hermine, as well as a number of shorter vacations (for example Paris and Rome). In 2005 I did some smaller trips again, but also a bigger journey, to Singapore Japan, which has always fascinated me.

2006 looks to be a quiet one, as I'm busy writing my MA thesis - but next year I'm planning a move to New Zealand, to continue my studies.

I love to travel alone - the freedom is wonderful and enables me to do whatever I bloody well please... *g*

I'll write this journal in English so my friends from abroad can read it, too. (I love how many people from all over the place I know - from my trips, but also from playing online...)
